The Problem
Perhaps you have noticed a new feature in Dynamics 365 CRM that has works like this – you create a new record – say an account. You fill in the important data, and as you try to save your record, you get a tool bar message and a pop-up message letting you know that you can accept all the AI suggestions. Now your first reaction might be confusion, as there is no information about what this message means, and the message keeps popping up whenever you create a new record. It also happens if you do a group edit of multiple records.
Congratulations, you have discovered Copilot Form Fill assistance. You did not ask for it, you cannot configure how it works, and it pops up throughout Dynamics 365 Sales or Customer Service and is coming soon to PowerApps too.
enCloud9’s Solution
I have the solution – it is easy to turn off, as long as you are a Dynamics 365 Administrator. So, forward this article to your admin if this is driving you crazy! Here ar enCloud9 we are turning it off in all of our client environments. You can even turn it off pre-emptively if the feature is not enabled in your environment.
The Issue Dynamics 365 users have encountered significant problems with the AI-generated suggestions feature, which autofills form fields and creates confusion. Even after turning off Co-pilot, the feature remains active, disrupting workflow and data accuracy
To mitigate this problem, enCloud9 recommends:
- Access Power Platform Admin Center at https://admin.powerplatform.microsoft.com
- Select your Environment from the Environment section – If you have multiple environments you will have to turn it off in each environment.
- Choose Settings from the top ribbon
- Under Product, select Features
- Under AI Form Fill Assistance: Turn off the AI form fill assistance feature for all users. See the image below.
- Click Save to update your settings – You will need to scroll to the bottom of the page to find the Save button.
That’s it – you will no longer be bothered by annoying popups for an unneeded feature
